Alzate y Ramírez was the principal contributer as well as the editor of the Gazeta de literatura

Vol. 1 and 3 issued with separate title pages; that for vol. 1 subsequently, and that for vol. 3 as an integral part of its no. 1

Vol. 1, no. 1-11, 1st ser., paged continuously (1-96); no. 12 and 13 paged separately (1-10, 1-8); no. 14-23 [i.e., 24] paged continuously (25-124). No. 1-24, 2nd ser., paged continuously (1-196 + [8] of index). Vol. 2 apparently paged continuously (1-378 + [6] of index). Vol. 3 apparently paged continuously except for supplements and no.43 ([6], 1-334, 343-350). No. "43" paged 453-462

Vol. 2, no. 4 (19 Oct. 1790) reproduces Alzate y Ramírez's Mapa de las aguas que por el circulo de 90. leguas vienen ala laguna de Tescuco y la estencion que esta, y la de Chalco tenían. Apparently originally published as a separate in 1786

John Carter Brown Library copy 1, vol. 2, no. 15 (22 Mar. 1791) extensively glossed in ms.; no. 25 (16 Aug. 1791) and no. 26 (30 Aug. 1791) wormed; text slightly affected. Copy 2, vol. 3, no. 7 (5 Feb. 1793) dedicated at end to pastor of San Sebastián, presumably of Mexico City

Vol. 1 has one plate according to Medina. In the John Carter Brown Library copy it appears after p. 10 of no. 12 (22 Oct. 1788). Vol. 2 has four plates according to Medina, only three of which appear in the John Carter Brown Library copy. They are to be found in no. 2 (21 Sept. 1790) between p. 14 and 15, no. 4 (19 Oct. 1790) between p. 30 and 31, and no. 42 (26 Jun. 1792) between p. 334 and 335. Vol. 3 has six plates according to Medina. In the John Carter Brown Library copy they appear inserted loose in no. 14 (15 Nov. 1793) between p. 186 and 187, no. 27 (28 Feb. 1794) between p. 212 and 213, the suppl. of 2 July 1794 between p. 4 and 5, two in no. 32 (9 Aug. 1794) between p. 248 and 249, and one between no. 33 (26 Sept. 1794) and 34 (17 Oct. 1794)
