Includes the exceptionally rare fold out, three dimensional plan of the restored and amplified Church and Convent of St. Francis (the first plate in the John Carter Brown Library copy). Lacking in the copies seen by Medina and Vargas Ugarte, the copy held by Yale, and apparently also in the copy held by the Lilly Library. Reproduced from a copper plate, engraved by Juan de Benavides. The only known illustration from the colonial period of the entire compound. Of the three other plates, that of the Church proper was done by Pedro Nolasco. The other two appear to be anonymous
