Exhibitions

Exhibitions are curated, interpreted and presented as a visual and narrative experience; included here are some legacy exhibits created by JCB staff over many decades.

When the John Carter Brown Library was opened in 1904, the Reading Room included custom-made book displays, indicating that exhibitions were always part of the library's mission. Over the years, the JCB has curated over 200 exhibitions. From 2023, all JCB exhibits will have a robust digital presence on Americana.
